Triggered by a customer’s request to improve the speed of a use case of a SQL based NonStop product (CS-SQL-COMPARE, sold by HPE, development done by us) we combined a number of techniques and got an amazing improvement in the overall speed of functions modifying SQL data (insert/update/delete). The talk describes the steps we did and what we achieved. The target audience is mainly system architects and developers interested in getting faster results, especially in cases where a large number of records needs to be changed.
