Learn the best practices for securing your NonStop system and hardening your networks. This includes closing gaps in your user access, securing Guardian and OSS applications, encrypting and compressing your network using IPSEC, preventing network access using IPTABLES, and much more. Students will obtain a copy of the student materials.

This session will provide participants with steps to deploy an HPE Virtual NonStop Server (DNS). We’ll begin with an introduction to the technical aspects of the vNS on VMware architecture and lead into the installation of the vNS vCenter deployment tool. Various options for the deployment procedure will be discussed. There will be demonstrations interspersed throughout the delivery. This is a great opportunity to learn about real-world experiences and lessons we’ve learned while working on and setting up numerous vNS installations. Students are encouraged to bring their laptops to the session to view and obtain a copy of the student materials.
